1814 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued, signed by the Grand Master, dated May 18, 1814, to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Chinquepin Church, in the county of Amelia, by the name of Amelia Lodge, appointing John Booker, Master; Peter Rison, Senior Warden; and Bernard Seay, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, accompanied with the other necessary documents, and an application for a charter: on motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Amelia Lodge, No. 97,
appointing the same persons officers thereof who are named in the said dispensation.
