1823 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Grand Master, to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Jeter's Tavern, in the county of Amelia, by the name of Amelia Washington Lodge, appointing John Booker, Master, Austin Seay, Senior Warden, and Bernard Seay, Junior Warden, and the said dispensation being returned with the other necessary documents,
On motion, Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, at Jeter's Tavern, in the county of Amelia, by the name of Amelia Washington Lodge, No. 131, appointing the same persons as were named in the dispensation.
