Confirmed chartered on 12/13/1854. Assigned to District 15 in 1857. 1853 Proceedings: Whereas a Dispensation was issued by the Most Wor. Grand Master, to authorise the opening a Lodge in the city of Alexandria, by the name of Andrew Jackson Lodge, No. ---, appointing S. King Shay as Master, E. Sangster as Senior Warden, and John T. Johnson as Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned with the necessary documents: Resolved, That the Dispensation granted to Andrew Jackson Lodge be continued until the next Annual Communication. 1854 Proceedings: Whereas, A Dispensation was issued by the Most Wor. Grand Master, to authorise the opening a Lodge in the city of Alexandria, in the county of Alexandria, by the name of Andrew Jackson Lodge, No. ---, appointing Wor. S. King Shay, Master; John T. Johnson, Senior Warden, and George H. Markle, Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned with the necessary documents. Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title and designation, of Andrew Jackson Lodge, No. 120, and appointing the officers named.
