Confirmed chartered 12/11/1872.
Whereas, a Dispensation, bearing date the 20th day of January, A. D. 1872, was issued by the Most Worshipful Grand Master, for the opening of a Lodge at Berkeley, Norfolk county, by the designation of Berkley Lodge, and appointing Brother J. L. Weaver, Master; H. V. Moore, Senior Warden; and A. McC. Jones, Junior Warden; and all the necessary documents, with the exception of the Dispensation, having been returned:
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, under the name and style of Berkeley Lodge, No. 167, appointing Brother J. L. Weaver, Worshipful Master; IH. V. Moore, Senior Warden; and A. McC. Jones, Junior Warden, when the Dispensation shall have been returned to the Right Worshipful Grand Secretary.
