Confirmed chartered 10/29/1793.
1793 Proceedings: A Dispensation to continue in force till the twenty-eighth of October next, was granted by the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, authorizing Charles Yauncey, as Master; Thomas Mosely, as Senior Warden, and John Mosely, as Junior Warden, to hold a Lodge in Buckingham county, to be designated Buckingham Union Lodge, No. 38.
A Dispensation having been issued by the Deputy Grand Master, on the 8th day of February, 5793, to Charles Yancy and others,
to hold a Lodge in the county of Buckingham, being returned, it is ordered that a charter do issue in consequence thereof to Charles Yancy, Master, Thomas Moseley, Senior Warden, and John Moseley, Junior Warden, to open and hold a Lodge as aforesaid, by the name of the Buckingham Union Lodge, No. 38.
1816 Proceedings: Whereas, a charter issued in the year 1793, from this Grand Lodge, to establish a Lodge in the county of Buckingham, by the name of the Buckingham Union Lodge, No. 38; and sometime, about ten or twelve years past, the house in which the said Lodge was held, was burnt, together with the said charter; and a number of the former members of said Lodge having petitioned for a renewal of the said charter, to authorize them to re-commence the labours of said Lodge at Buckingham Courthouse:
Resolved, That a copy of said charter be issued agreeably to the prayer of said petition, free of expense, except as to the fee of the Grand Secretary; and that Charles Yancey be appointed Master; Fleming Turner, Senior Warden; and Samuel Jones, Junior Warden, in order to re-commence and carry on the labours of said Lodge.
