1797 Proceedings: By order of the Right WorshipfuJ William Bentley, Deputy Grand Master, a Dispensation has this day issued
to William Holliday, as Master; Scarsbrook Goodwin, as Senior Warden, and John Goodwin, as Junior Warden, to hold a regular
Lodge in Nansemond county, in Chuckatuck, which Dispensation will have power and authority untill next Grand Annual Communication and no longer.
That a charter do issue, appointing John Holliday, Master; Scarsbrook Godwin, Senior Warden; and John Godwin, Junior Warden, to hold a regular Lodge in Chuckatuck, in the county of Nansemond, to be designated by the name of the Chuckatuck Lodge, No. 53.
