Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorize the opening of a new Lodge at Covington, in Alleghany county, by the name of Covington Lodge, No. ---, and appointing Wor. Henry H. Robertson, M., D. H. Sampson, S. W., and G. W. Hammond, J. W., and the necessary documents being returned:
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name and designation of Covington Lodge, No. 171, and appointing the officers named.
