1814 Proceedings: A dispensation, signed by the Grand Master, and dated June 4, 1814, having been issued, to authorize the opening of a Lodge in Clarkesburg, Harrison county, by the name of the Hermon Lodge, appointing Isaac Coplin, Master; George J. Davidson, Senior Warden; and Joshua B. Badger, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, with the other necessary documents, and a petition for a charter: on motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Hermon Lodge, No. 98,
appointing the same persons officers thereof who are named in the said dispensation.
