1799 Proceedings: Whereas a dispensation was issued by the Most Worshipful Benjamin Day, Grand Master, dated September 20th, for the temporary establishment of a Lodge in Westmoreland county, by the name of the Hiram Lodge, appointing James Elliott, Master; John James Maund, Senior Warden; and John Peake, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, with an abstract of the proceedings thereon, and the other necessary documents, on motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue, to establish a Lodge in the county of Westmoreland, by the name of the Hiram Lodge, No.
59, appointing the same persons officers thereof, that are named in the aforesaid dispensation.
1809 Proceedings: Resolved, That the future meetings of the Hiram Lodge, No. 59, be held permanently at Westmoreland courthouse.
1822 Proceedings: Resolved, That the jewels and furniture-belonging to Westmoreland Hiram Lodge, No. 59, now dormant, be loaned to the Richmond County Saint John’s Lodge, No. 126; and that Brother Benjamin D. Bust be and he is hereby authorized to demand from and receive of any person who may have possession of any of the said jewels or furniture, all the said articles; upon the possession of which, the said Brother Rust is to forward a receipt to the Grand Secretary.
