1816 Proceedings: Whereas, a dispensation, signed by the Grand Master, dated June 20, 1816, was issued to authorize the opening of a Lodge in Charleston, Kanawha county, appointing John Shrewsbury, Master; Samuel Shrewsbury, Senior Warden; and James Wilson, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, and the other necessary documents:
On motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Kanawha Lodge, No. 104,
appointing Lewis Summers, Master; James Wilson, Senior Warden; and Samuel Dryden, Junior Warden.
