Confirmed chartered 12/11/1810. 1810 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Grand Master, dated June 25, 1810, for the opening of a Lodge in the county of Lancaster, by the name of the Lancaster Union Lodge, appointing John Seward, Master; Thomas Brown, Senior Warden; and Jos. B. Downman, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, on motion, Resolved, That a charter do issue, for the permanent establishment of said Lodge in Lancaster county, by the name of the Lancaster Union Lodge, No. 88, appointing the same persons officers thereof, who are named in the said dispensation.
