Confirmed chartered on 12/12/1855. Assigned to District 12 in 1857. 1854 Proceedings: Whereas, A Dispensation was issued by the Most Wor. Grand Master, to authorise the opening a Lodge at in the county of Madison, by the name of Linn Banks, No. ---, appointing Wor. James L. Kemper, Master; David H. E. Saunders, Senior Warden, and George H. Leitch, J. Warden; and said Dispensation having been returned without the Lodge having had time to organize and work under the same. Resolved, The said Dispensation to Linn Banks Lodge, No. ---, be continued, appointing the officers therein named. 1855 Proceedings: Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the Most Wor. Grand Master to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Madison Courthouse, by the name of Linn Banks Lodge, No. ---, appointing Jas. L. Kemper, Wor. Master; Nelson W. Crisler, Senior Warden, and Geo. H. Leitch, Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned, with the necessary documents: Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge by the name, title and designation of Linn Banks Lodge, No. 126, and appointing the officers named.
