Confirmed chartered 12/12/1821. 1821 Proceedings: A petition having been received, signed by several respectable brethren residing in the town of Petersburg, in the county of Hardy, praying for a charter to hold a Lodge in said town, which petition was accompanied by a recommendation from the officers of Lodge No. 21; on motion, Resolved, That a charter do issue for the establishment of a Lodge in the town aforesaid, by the name of the Lodge of Humility, No. 123, appointing John R. Hayden, Master; Charles W. Taylor, Senior Warden; and John Hopewell, Junior Warden; and that the said Lodge be attached to District No. 14.
