Confirmed chartered 10/29/1793. 1793 Proceedings: A Dispensation to continue in force till next Grand Communication was granted by the Bight Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, authorizing Robert Yauncey, as Master; James Calloway, as Senior Warden, and Samuel Irvin, as Junior Warden, to hold a Lodge in the town of Lynchburg, in Campbell county, to be designated Hiram Lodge, No. 39. A Dispensation having been issued by the Deputy Grand Master, on the 30tli of March, 5793, to Robert Yancey and others, to hold a Lodge in the town of Lynchburg, in the county of Campbell, being returned, it is Ordered, That a Charter do issue in consequence thereof, to Robert Yancy, Master; James Calloway, Senior Warden, and Samuel Irvin, Junior Warden, to open and hold a Lodge as aforesaid, by the name of the Marshall Lodge, No. 39.
