Confirmed Chartered as "Metropolitan Lodge, No. 190" on 12/11/1860. Assigned to District 8 in 1860. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorize the opening of a Lodge in the city of Richmond, by the name of Metropolitan Lodge, No. ---, and appointing Wor. Wm. L. Maule, Master, S. H. Boykin, Senior Warden, and William R. Pugh, Junior Warden, and said Dispensation being returned with the necessary documents: Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title and designation of Metropolitan Lodge, No. 190, and appointing the officers named. 1861 Proceedings: On the petition of Metropolitan Lodge, No. 100, for reasons satisfactory to your committee, it is Resolved, That said Lodge be, for the future, known and designated as Metropolitan Lodge, No. 11, and that the Grand Secretary be and he is hereby authorized to alter the number of said Lodge in their charter.
