1823 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by tire Grand Master, to authorize the opening of a Lodge in the town of Jeffersonton, in the County of Culpeper, by the name of the Monroe Lodge, appointing Richard Harvey, Master, William Hurt, Senior Warden and Picket Withers, Junior Warden, and the said dispensation being returned, with the other necessary documents, on motion,
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, in the said town of Jeffersonton, by the name of the Monroe Lodge, No. 129, appointing William Hurt, Master, Picket Withers, Senior Warden, and Edgar Doores, Junior Warden.
