Confirmed chartered as "Mountain City Lodge, No. 159" in District 20 on 12/15/1857. Assigned to District 21 in 1868. 1857 Proceedings: Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. G. Master, to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Lexington, Rockbridge county, by the name of Lexington Lodge, No., and appointing Wor. James Campbell, M., Milton H. Key, S. W., and Edward L. Graham, J. W., and the Dispensation and necessary documents being returned: Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name and designation of Mountain City Lodge, No. 159, and appointing the officers named. 1858 Proceedings: Whereas, Mountain City Lodge, No. 159, has petitioned to have its number changed to that of No. 67, and there appearing no reasons to the contrary: Resolved, That the said petition be granted, and that the said Lodge be hereafter known as Mountain City Lodge, No. 67.
