1818 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Grand Master, dated May 1, 1818, to authorize the opening of a Lodge in Parkersburg, Wood county, and the said dispensation having been returned, on motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of a Lodge in the town of Parkersburg, aforesaid, by the
name of Mount Olivet Lodge, No. 113, appointing the following brethren officers thereof, viz: Elias Gates, Master; Oliver Phelps,
Senior Warden; and Alexander H. Creel, Junior Warden.
