Confirmed chartered 12/16/1802 as "Lexington Lodge".
1802 Proceedings: Whereas, a dispensation was issued by the Most Worshipful Grand Master, dated May 3d, 5802, for the temporary establishment of a Lodge in the county of Rockbridge, by the name of the Lexington Lodge; appointing William Caruthers, Master; Hugh Hillas, Senior Warden; and John Long, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned with a copy of the proceedings had thereunder, &c.:
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of a Lodge, in the county aforesaid, by the name of the
Rockbridge Lodge, No. 68; appointing John Long, Master; Hugh Hillias, Senior Warden; and William Caruthers, Junior Warden.
