Notes: Confirmed chartered as "Shelby Lodge, No. 162" in District 23 on 12/15/1857. Assigned to District 25 in 1866. Assigned to District 23 in 1868. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. G. Master to authorize the opening a Lodge at Goodson, Washington county, by the name of Shelby Lodge, No. ---, appointing H. M. Ledbetter, M., Samuel Crawford, S. W., and Wm. Hutchison, J. W., and the said Dispensation and the necessary documents being returned; and whereas by removal and resignations, the officers therein appointed have been unable to act: Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name and designation of Shelby Lodge, No. 162, and appointing Wor. L. F. Johnson, M., James W. Morgan, S. W., and Wm. D. Hickok, J. W.
