Notes: Confirmed chartered in District 19 on 12/15/1868. Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Strasburg, Shenandoah county, by the name of Spurmont Lodge, No. ---, and appointing Wor. William H. Le Hew, Master, J. J. Crawford, Senior Warden, and R. H. Lee, Junior Warden; and the necessary documents, with the exception of the Dispensation, having been returned, and being satisfactory: Resolved, That upon the return of said Dispensation to the R. W. Grand Secretary, a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of Spurmont Lodge, No. 98, and appointing the officers named.
