1823 Proceedings: Whereas an application has been submitted by Job Weeden, Ramion Machado, and Jose Maria Lanz, to obtain a Charter for a Lodge in the Island of Margaritta in the Republic of Columbia in South America, accompanied with the recommendations of Lodges No. 1 and No. 56 of Norfolk, and all vouchers which the nature of the case could admit, together with, satisfactory evidence of the fair character and reputation of Job Weeden, late a Past Master under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Virginia, and Master elect proposed Lodge.
Resolved therefore, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of a Lodge, according to the prayer of the said application, by the name of St. Juan de Margaritta Lodge, No. 132, appointing Job Weeden, Master, Ramion Machado, Senior
and Jose Maria Lanz, Junior Warden.
