1808 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued, dated August 19th, 1808, and signed by the Deputy Grand Master, for the opening of a Lodge at King & Queen courthouse, by the name of the Sycamore Lodge, appointing Amos Newhall, Master; Simon Guthrow, Senior 'Warden; and John C. Roy, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned with a copy of the proceedings had thereunder and a petition for a charter,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Sycamore Lodge, No. 84,
appointing the same persons officers thereof, who are named in the said dispensation.
