Confirmed chartered 12/12/1820. 1820 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Deputy Grand Master, for the opening of a Lodge m Martinsville, in the county of Henry, under date of July 22d, 1820, appointing Joseph Martin, Master; Thomas J. Whooton, Senior Warden; and John Hughes, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation having been returned, with an application for a charter, on motion, Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of Washington Lodge, No. 121, appointing the same brethren officers thereof, who are named in the said dispensation.
