Notes: Confirmed chartered 12/15/1819. 1819 Proceedings: Whereas, a dispensation was issued by the Deputy Grand Master, under date of July 27th, 1819, to authorize the opening of a Lodge in the town of Clarkesville, in the county of Mecklenburg, by the name of the Washington Union Lodge, appointing W. C. Wall, Master; Lewis Green, Senior Warden; and Matthus L. Baptist, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Washington Union Lodge, No. 118, appointing the said brethren officers thereof, who are named in the said dispensation.
