1817 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Grand Master, dated October 4, 1817, for the opening of a Lodge in the town of Wellsburg, Brooke county, by the name of the Wellsburg Lodge, appointing John Klein, Master; Stephen Clayton, Senior Warden; James H. Moore, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned, and a copy of the proceedings thereunder, on motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Wellsburg Lodge, No.
108, appointing the said brethren officers thereof, who are named in said dispensation.
