Notes

One of the nine charter Lodges of the Grand Lodge of Virginia in 1788. Confirmed chartered 11/06/1773. 1810 Proceedings: On a statement being made, that the Williamsburg Lodge, No. 6, is and has been for some time dormant, and on motion made, Resolved, That Brother Charles H. Graves be and he is hereby appointed to enquire after and possess himself of the charter, jewels, records, papers, funds and furniture, of said Lodge, and forward them to the Grand Secretary. 1811 Proceedings: Resolved, That the charter for the Williamsburg Lodge, No. 6, be renewed on the payment of forty dollars, and that to recommence the operations of said Lodge, Brother Jesse Cole be appointed Master; George Jackson, Senior Warden; and Samuel Travis, Junior Warden.
